It's Not a Cleanse....
I challenge you to not feel like crap. Reduce or eliminate your headaches, diarrhea, constipation, allergies, fatigue, skin problems, anxiety, depression, crankiness, joint pain, colds, etc. Whether you hide it or not, I know most of you suffer from at least one of these issues if not all. The problems often start in the gut and are either instigated or aggravated by food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances. So let's look at what you're eating!
Every day I speak with people who are confused about what their perfect diet should be. We're bombarded by information on what foods to eat, not eat, demonize, idolize, etc. It doesn't much matter what all of this information is telling us because there are no bad foods or good foods (so long as they're real food and not packaged junk)...only foods that work well for our individuality and current needs. If you're not eating the right foods for your needs, you're not going to feel well...simple.
- Athletes looking for an edge
- The disgruntled dieter/cleanser trying to lose weight
- Couples looking to conceive (yes, men – that means you too)
- Entrepreneurs looking for better productivity and efficiency
- Anyone who feels like they haven't met their potential
**You should NOT participate if you are: pregnant, nursing, or under the age of 10
Who wants to poop their pants, have chronic headaches, bad skin, or achy joints? These are just a few of many symptoms that can be attributed to eating foods that aren't right for our individual needs leading to inflammation in the body and chronic disease. If your gut has been compromised by stress, illness, being overworked, parasites, imbalance in gut flora, etc., then you may become sensitive to foods that didn't cause problems in the past. In order to restore the gut, you need to remove these foods for a period, heal the gut, and then figure out which foods don't serve you so you can avoid them in your diet until you have restored balance to your belly.
We'll eliminate certain foods (all common allergens) for a period of time and then "challenge" them back into our diet one at a time to find the culprit(s). The Challenge will last between 4-6 weeks depending on your personal needs. Optional supplements available will help heal the gut lining, improve the immune system, restore balance in gut bugs, and ultimately, make you feel really, really great.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect it to be challenging...that's why it's called a challenge. Expect to have good days and bad – you might feel like you're on a roller coaster. Expect that there will be several days where you feel terrible and will want to quit, especially in week 1. Expect to go to social events and need to eat before, or bring your own food. Expect that you will need support, whether from friends, family, others participating, or me. Expect that you will eventually start feeling awesome once over the hump (normally around day 12). Expect that the most difficult phase might be when you begin "challenging" foods back in (day 22) – many people will say "f" it and run to their favorite ice cream as a reward for making it through...be advised, that this will not help your cause and you may be running to the bathroom immediately after instead. Know that you can do this and you deserve to feel great!
